Baryte functional fillers/Extenders have excellent purity and brightness. Baryte products are ground from stone of typically 99% Barium Sulphate. Dry Brightness ranges from 80-90 across the product line, which is ideal for powder and industrial coating. Baryte SSW is very finely ground premium quality functional filler. Its ultrafineness and high quality allow it to be used as substitute for blancfixe in some application.

Applications :

Natural barytes are chemically stable and highly temperature-resistant. Their high density, low Mohs hardness and low binder requirement make them suitable for a broad range of applications in the plastics industry, and also in the field of paints and coatings. They are also used as weighting elements for vertical-slat curtains and for noise reduction in piping systems.
